Mind Your Body Co. - Physiotherapists

Team Graham. We are Hudson and Leia Graham, husband and wife and the team behind Mind Your Body Co. We have over 20 years of combined experience in musculoskeletal, sports treatment and chronic pain. We both have Bachelor of Physiotherapy qualifications – Hudson from UQ and Leia from Centro Universitario IBMR in Rio de Janeiro. We’ve also both undertaken post-graduate training in many specialized areas of musculoskeletal medicine including training with Pavel Kolar and the famed Prague School of Rehabilitation in the methods of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization.

A Different Approach To Physiotherapy

Our approach to physiotherapy is different and unique with proven results. We apply our deep understanding of functional human movement in our assessment and treatment, where our focus is on whole body alignment, deep system stability integration (core activation) and ideal movement patterns. Even though your symptoms may be isolated to one specific area, the intricately linked way the various parts of our body interact as we move can mean pain is often not where the real problem is.

Our assessment will determine how these symptoms are actually related to other parts of your body that are dysfunctional so we can treat accordingly. We then provide you with the most appropriate exercises to re-establish ideal stabilisation and movement, consequently decreasing your pain and optimizing your performance.

In a nutshell, we will not only treat your symptoms,  we will treat the underlying root cause.  Therefore, our approach takes a very “wholistic” view of all factors contributing to your musculoskeletal well-being.

Our Philosophy:
Knowledge Is Power

“We have the KNOWLEDGE (tools and strategies) to help you understand how your brain, body and mind work together to regain quality of movement, facilitate deep system muscle activation and ultimately decrease your pain. You have the POWER to take our tools and strategies and use them as part of your daily routine to achieve lasting, long term results.”

Chronic and Persistent Pain

Pain is a protective mechanism generated by the brain in response to perceived threat. Pain becomes chronic when it has been present most days of the week for over 3 months and there is no longer any direct threat, or direct injuries and trauma to the body have healed.

Information and education about the role of pain and how the body can become “stuck” in pain will enable you to get yourself “unstuck”. We have the latest research tools and strategies to help you understand how pain works and to help you actively change your pain status.
